About The Printmaking Process

To produce this new collection of giclée prints Gunning worked with photographers Mike Smith and Judy Cooper, graphic designer Robert O'Hair and fine-art print maker, André Trosclair.

The images were created by Gunning over the past quarter century. Photographs were made of the original paintings. The earlier paintings were photographed onto film then digitized on a high quality drum scanner. More recent paintings were photographed with professional quality digital cameras requiring no scan.

Digital prints of each image were color checked. Gunning inspected and corrected numerous test prints made from each image. Color adjustments and enhancements proceded until each printed image faithfully matched the original.

Gunning will inspect, sign and number each new print. The artist signature series will be extremely limited, never to exceed 100 prints per image. Customized size prints may be available.
